Will Snowden is the proud son of Billy Ray and Kay Snowden who were not only Milwaukee public school teachers, but also taught Will why speaking up and speaking out is important. As a New Orleans public defender, Will launched The Juror Project—an initiative aiming to increase the diversity of jury panels while changing and improving people’s perspective of jury duty. He leads workshops around the country as it relates to how implicit bias, racial anxiety, and stereotype threat influence actors and outcomes in the criminal legal system. Will also teaches Constitutional Law and Criminal Procedure at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. As a cello player himself, joining The Roots of Music Board of Directors in 2022 has been a joy for Will to support young people through the language of music.
